Since 2009 I teach at German universities in different study programs: German studies, Semiotics and Multimodal communication, teacher training for elementary school German, Cultural Sciences, Applied Computer Science, and Political science.
My courses range from basics in linguistics, language and cognition, multimodality of language, gesture studies, applied linguistics, interactional analysis, to practical rhetorics.
In my courses I follow the principle of researching education: current research foci and topics are included in my courses. Also, I do not want to teach my students abstract knowledge, but underline the practical relevance of course topics.
